316 Stainless Steel Hex Finish Nuts
316 Stainless Steel Hex Finish Nuts
Possibly the most commonly used type of nut in the world, our Hex Finish Nuts do differ in the fact that they come in a relatively uncommon alloy, passivated 316 (A4) Stainless Steel. While most big box, and even small hardware and fastener retailers will sell you a "Stainless" hex nut without specifying the grade, we make sure to only sell a high grade stainless steel that we would use in our own marine application. In corrosive environments, where 18-8, 304, or A2 stainless steel will still rust and corrode, our passivated 316 Stainless Steel hex nuts will stay rust and corrosion free, as well as provide a secure fastening for much longer.
What is stainless steel passivation and how does it help keep our stainless marine fasteners corrosion free?
Stainless steel passivation is a chemical process that improves the corrosion resistance of our 316 stainless fasteners by removing any traces of iron from the surface of fastener. This chemical process enhances it's natural oxide layer, and helps keep any surface rust from forming for years to come.
Took long to get, USPS fault. Nuts are exactly what I needed. Thanks
