Fair Wind Fasteners supplies only the best quality in hard-to-find fin neck bolts. As always, they are full bodied with cut threads and cold pressed heads. Originally designed by the "Wizard of Bristol" Nathanael Herreshoff, the fins underneath the countersunk head on these bolts will hold them securely and prevent them from spinning when tightened down onto a wooden surface.

These fin neck bolts have a flat head, as seen in the photo.

Spec: ANSI/ASME B18.5

Great bolts for keels and deadwood

I'm using these on the new keel and deadwood for a 14' Abaco dingy. Perfect bolts and excellent quality.

Just don't use the USPS shipping option. My bolts went all the way across the country and back to get to me, 8 days. Next time I'll just drive to Newport or use UPPS

I’m not even sure how I found you . But I’m glad I did. I typically get my fasteners from another supplier. I mainly work on wooden boats ,so silicon bronze is the only way to go. I am so impressed with the personal attention you give your customers. And the fast delivery. Thanks you for all .

Fin Neck Bolts

Rob,
The Fin Neck bolts will work great to secure my new chain plate construction on my 1934 Anker & Jensen International Dragon. Only your fasteners are being used for her restoration. Thank you they are going to work great!

Fin Neck Bolts

I’m building a Herreshoff design and there was no finding fin neck fasteners locally. Fair Wind delivered the fasteners right away. Both the product and service were excellent. I’ll certainly use them again.

Haven 12 1/2 Keel Bolts

The fin neck bolts preserve more thickness in the wood structure than carriage bolts and they’re cheaper. I had started to try to forge my own fin neck bolts, but I realized it was better to buy them and I’m glad I did. The forging die that we made didn’t have the sharp angled fins that would dig into the wood as good as the ones from Fairwinds do. I’m sure we’ll be buying more fasteners for our project from Fairwinds Fasteners. Also appreciate the counterbore advice from Rob.
