Solid 651 Silicon Bronze Oval Head Machine Screws with a Slotted Drive

These machine bolts have an oval head. You can also find bronze flat head machine bolts or round head machine bolts at our store.

Our Silicon Bronze Machine Screws, often referred to as Machine Bolts, are the highest quality available, made of a solid 651 Silicon Bronze Alloy, and manufactured to meet ASME B18.6.3 standards. These fasteners are often used as bolts with nuts on the end or can be driven in to tapped holes. All of the Machine Screws we carry come with a slotted drive. These oval headed machine bolts have a countersunk head, with a standard 82 degree angle on the countersink.

4" lengths and less are fully threaded with rolled threads, while lengths over 4" are partially threaded with full body shanks and cut threads.

Oval Head screws for my chain plates

I used these 1/4-20x2 bolts to secure the chain plates, through the hull and through some backing blocks on the inside. They worked out really well, with the washers and nuts holding all the pieces together. Nice and sturdy!
