Fair Wind Fasteners is proud to offer our new Screw Lube thread lubricant. Made of natural waxes and oils, our screw lubricant will help drive wood screws home using less torque, meaning fewer stripped heads, less strain on those wrists, and also acts as a protectant, sealant, and will help eliminate galling on nuts and bolts.
Our screw lube is the perfect viscosity for staying stuck on those threads, while still being thin enough to spread the length of the screw when driving. It's a significant improvement over commonly used beeswax or paraffin wax which tends to be brittle and falls away as soon as the threads are driven in.
The ingredients in Screw Lube will also help protect your fasteners over time. It can be used for more than just wood screws, as it also acts as an anti-seize compound for nuts and bolts. Protect from corrosion, and allow for easier removal years later by dabbing on a little Screw Lube!
Sold in a 4oz tin, enough for a couple hundred wood screws and over double the amount that screw waxes are normally sold in. Developed with the help of wooden boat professionals, chemists, and a quite a bit of hands-on testing.

I used to use soap bought some screws from you a year ago and used your product. Loved it so much placing another order for screws. might as well get extra screw lube . Figured as long as I had something coming with stock up now price seems to keep going up product. Doesn’t change good stuff. Keep up the good work.
Why have I waited so long to buy this stuff? I’ve used soap and wax and they were fine but this stuff is the BEST. I’m using in mahogany and it makes the job so much more secure without damaging the wood or screws. Thank you for an excellent product that actually works

Needed “nice looking” screws for a mission style plant stand where the screws are exposed . The silicon bronze oval-head Frearson is perfect. Screwing into white oak, even with proper clearance and tap drill holes brass is just too soft.

I am using Fair Winds fasteners for my grand opus dining room table project to fasten the custom made hinges I had made for the project. In the process of working through the the details of the hinges with the machinist, it came to light that the table of screw dimensions on your web site misstates the body diameter for your #8 wood screws. As stated elsewhere on you website, the thread and body diameters are the same.
