Volante: I am restoring and 1887 "Sandbagger" sailboat. Everything from the waterline down required replacement. I have been using silicon bronze screws and bolts throughout. If you want to use the more enduring and best connectors for wood boats, this is the product to use!

I used these 1/4-20x2 bolts to secure the chain plates, through the hull and through some backing blocks on the inside. They worked out really well, with the washers and nuts holding all the pieces together. Nice and sturdy!

I'm using these on the new keel and deadwood for a 14' Abaco dingy. Perfect bolts and excellent quality.

Just don't use the USPS shipping option. My bolts went all the way across the country and back to get to me, 8 days. Next time I'll just drive to Newport or use UPPS

Along with the acorn nuts, I bought the other fasteners needed to mount the license plate and frame to my trike. It's an anniversary edition, so it's finished with bronze accents, and good bike feng shuei (!) dictated a little creativity with a couple cans of spray paint and these acorn nuts.

The finish on them matches the emblems perfectly, and it ties everything together.
