316 Stainless Steel Cotter Pins

These high quality, marine grade, passivated 316 SS cotter pins (also known as split pins) come in handy for all kinds of uses on a boat. From securing sailing yacht rigging, to locking castle nuts, propellers, or trailer hitches, they are always good to have around. Our cotter pins are made from SOLID alloy 316 stainless steel also known as A4 or 316L. Most cotter pins you'll find are made from 304, 18-8, or A2 stainless and will quickly start to develop rust and leave unsightly streaks on deck. They are incredibly resistant to saltwater and will hold your clevis pins, props, turnbuckles, and other various fittings securely for years to come.

Cotter pin thickness (diameter) is the thickness of the shank across both prongs, and the length is measured from the bottom of the head to the shortest prong. Please see the diagram in the photos for sizing help.
