These Copper Burrs pair well with our smooth shank, copper common nails. Commonly used in boatbuilding, these burrs will fit over a copper nail and then the tip of the nail is blunted over to create a copper rivet.
The gauge number on the burr is meant to correspond to the size nail that it is meant to be used with. However, many customers prefer either a tighter or looser fit, so in-between sizing is available and can be chosen with the drop-down box above. The handy measurement guide below will help determine which size burr you require. You can cross-reference it with the similar guide on the copper nail page.

This is the second purchase I made from fair wind fasteners. I didn’t make a review before because I hadn’t given the rivets a trial. I’m very happy with the results!
Got great help with sizing the burr I needed for old copper rivets given to me by my Grandfather. Mailed them the rivets and they got back to me immediately via email. Ordered the burrs and they work perfectly. Great Service. I really appreciate the good help. Dan ONeal
